Easy Day, Yverdon-les-Bains

Hospitals in North Vaudois. Construction of a building consisting of 3 floors above-ground covering 1,000m2 for outpatient surgery.

Three floors above ground of 1000 m2. The building project addresses a growing demand for outpatient surgery and, in a first stage, will enable premises to be constructed to relieve the existing buildings. The 7,781 m2 area of land is owned by the hospitals in North Vaudois, in Yverdon, and construction will be integrated, over the medium term, into the actual extension of the hospital at Yverdon-les-Bains, part of a master plan scheduled for 2015. With its 14,951 m3 (SIA) spread over five levels above ground, the building will provide two administrative floors of 1,000 m2 each and a hospital wing on level 3 of 1,000 m2 with operating theatre, sterilisation room, bed areas, waiting and examination rooms. The CVSE technical centres are located in an attic of 535 m2. It should be noted that initially the programme did not include an administrative floor, the second floor being added during development, thus resulting in a modest delay of three months to the contract period. Covered parking is located above ground as the geography of the terrain made it unsuitable for excavation.
